Disclosure Policy
One of the most important things to Life in the LBK is your trust. If you don’t trust us, we don’t stay up and running for very long.
And that, would make me very sad, because I love doing this.
I hope you know how much I value your trust. Because of this, I will only write about business, places, and events that I feel I can positively support. If I don’t feel that way about something, I won’t write about it. Period. I do not receive payment from any business for the reviews I write about them. I don’t get free meals, free admission, or anything else. I visit them, and if I like them, I promote them to you. If I don’t, I won’t. It’s that simple.
Because I value your trust so much, I want to be completely upfront and honest with you about my goals for Life in the LBK.
Besides providing you with suggestions on great restaurants, fun things to do, and ways to really enjoy the LBK, one of my desires for Life in the LBK is to make it a business. And the goal of a business is to make money. After all, I’ve got to pay for all those cups of coffee and great meals somehow?
Right now, there are two main ways that I am working to do that through this site:
- Advertising space:: As you can see, there is some blank space on our site. however, this advertising space will only be filled by people I genuinely support, respect, and trust. If you have suggestions on a business that would be great to advertise at Life in the LBK, let me know. Also, if you see a business advertised here, know that it’s someone I completely trust. They wouldn’t be there otherwise.
- Affiliate marketing:: This is when I provide a link to a product or company within one of my posts. If you click on that link and make a purchase, I receive part of the profit. Again, you can trust that I will only be an affiliate for products that I feel will benefit you and are worthy of purchasing. If I don’t feel that way, I won’t be an affiliate for them.
Besides the fact that I value your trust above anything, I also want to make sure that everything I do follows all legal guidelines and regulations. Because of the FTC’s Ruling for Bloggers, I am required to tell you all of this. The goal of the FTC is that you clearly understand that the things written and done on this site do have a financial impact. However, I also want to make it clear that I, above all, want to provide high value, relevant content for my readers. This doesn’t happen without you!
Thank you for being a part of Life in the LBK. I look forward to living life here with you!
