Comment Policy

Our Policy for Comments and Feedback:

I love your comments and feedback.  They are a great reminder that I find myself surrounded by community, and am connected to those around me.
However, there are a few things I ask you to consider to help make this experience the most enjoyable for everyone (please note that failure to follow these guidelines will result in your comment being deleted):
1.)  Please do not use the comment section (or any part of this site), as an attempt to bash a local business or another person.  If you have a negative experience at somewhere we recommend, see below for how to handle it.
2.)   If you provide a URL, please make sure it is legitimate.  However, please do not use the comment sections as space to fill with your URLs.  Our goal is to focus on local life in the LBK, not local URLs.
3.)  Keep in mind there are a number of people of all ages viewing this site.  Therefore, we ask you to be respectful in the things you post and the way you post them.  Please keep all foul language in absolute moderation if you must use it at all.
4.)  If you provide an email, make sure it is working, in case we need to contact you!
5.) Check everything you write, and ask yourself if it gives a good reflection of you as a person to the other people who will be reading.
6.)  We will protect your privacy.  However, if you have a comment or suggestion that we believe would be a benefit to others, we might use it in a post (your privacy will still be protected!).
7.)  While we love and appreciate your comments, we cannot guarantee that we will respond to every single one.  We do, however, promise to be involved as we sit fit!
8.)  Our goal here is to provide an incredibly positive experience for all—please make sure your comment aligns with that.
9.)  We reserve the right to moderate or delete any comment that we believe does not provide an excellent experience for all our viewers.
10.) We have  a 100% “hold harmless” policy.  That means you hold harmless any and all writers at lifeinthelbk.com of any repercussions and liabilities.  As we have said above, we do our very best to provide you an excellent Life in the LBK experience!

As long as we’re all making sure to follow those guidelines in every comment we make, we’re going to have a great experience here at Life in the LBK.  I really look forward to reading everything you have to say!

**While we fully expect that every business we review will bring you a positive LBK experience, we understand that sometimes this just won’t happen.  If you do have a negative experience at a place we have recommended, please follow these steps:

  • first, be willing to give the place a second chance.  Everyone has bad moments.
  • second, if the negative experience continues, please email us at lifeinthelbk@gmail.com.  We will do our best to amend our post as we see necessary.
