About the Author

My name is Lacey.  I’m wife to Kade, mommy to Selah, and unashamed coffee drinker.  I’ve always had a passion for taking the time to truly enjoy things, whether it’s a great meal, a play, or a run in the park.  My desire is to find all those enjoyable things, right here in the good ol’ LBK, and bring them to you.
And so, Baby Girl and I trek all around Lubbock, experiencing great restaurants, meeting great people, and hunting out great places for you to enjoy living life in the LBK.  I love what I do, whether it’s taking care of my daughter, loving my sweet husband, or trying to bring you great ideas to enjoy this place we all call home.
A little about how I got here:  I graduated with a degree in elementary education and a minor in Spanish.  After I graduated, I taught first grade in Lubbock for two years.  I loved everything about my job:  my precious students, the amazing people I worked with, and Friday morning trips to get a cup of coffee.  And then, I met a man named Kade:  smart, attractive, and persuasive.  Four months after we met, he was putting a ring on my finger.  Four months after that ring, I walked down an aisle and said, “I do.”  And another four months later?  Well…I’ll let my baby girl tell that story.
Together, we used to live and work at a church camp in the Panhandle of Texas, trying to live in all things for the glory of our Father.  But now, we find ourselves right in the middle of the good ol’ LBK, living, working, and serving right along all of you and at Redeemer Church.  Most of my days are spent trying to figure out to how be wife and mommy, as well as how I can squeeze in an extra cup of coffee for the day.
